Each heart is carefully packaged to help protect the gingerbread and decorative icing during shipping. Because Gingerbread Hearts are delicate, we take special care when preparing online orders for shipment.

We package every order carefully, but Gingerbread Hearts and their icing are naturally fragile. If your order arrives significantly damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and include photos of the product and packaging so we can review the issue.

Gingerbread naturally has a relatively long shelf life (2+ years). Please refer to the Best By date on your package and follow the storage instructions provided with your heart. However the hearts can basically be kept for ever for decoration purposes. They will not decay or grow mold they look beautiful for a long time.

Keep your Gingerbread Heart in its original packaging and store it in a cool, dry place. The heart becomes softer with increased humidity but get’s hard again when the humidity decreases.

Yes! Many people keep their Gingerbread Hearts as souvenirs or decorations because of the special message written on them. If you choose to keep your heart rather than eat it, remember that it is still a food product and its appearance may naturally change over time.
